NX Blue Pty Ltd is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for its employees

We aim for zero harm, and incorporate systems, policies and processes to protect every single person.

 

We are constantly working towards better safety systems,
and place emphasis on addressing safety matters in a timely fashion, implementing appropriate risk controls, and ensuring our employees are appropriately trained and skilled for
safe work.

 

All our Workplace Health & Safety systems are aligned to OHS Standard AS/NZS 4801:2001 and employees at all levels are expected to assist in maintaining our high safety standards.

 

NX Blue leads by example in fostering a safety-conscious workplace and is proactive in supplying up-to-date safety and training information.

NX Blue Safety Values

As well as meeting OHS industry standards, we maintain our own set of safety values that are regularly updated according to best practice.

 

We also undertake a comprehensive safety questionnaire with all of our partners, and back this up with a risk assessment tool that can be applied to any task.

INSPECT the worksite and ensure ongoing work safe practices and environment

MONITOR onsite safety with regular reminders of proper policies and procedures. 

Ensure workers report on near-miss, unsafe conditions and incidents every time they sign into a site.

MANAGE communication, reports and incidence with transparency and proven processes.

Engage in regular training to uphold our safety standards.

COMMUNICATE Ensure employers and workers are provided up-to-date information regarding Work Health & Safety policies and procedures.

We take safety seriously and have implemented steps recommended by Safe Work Australia in order to work towards zero harm.

We recognise that apathy has no place when it comes to personal safety.

Our requirements ensure that site managers and workers report all
near-misses and incidents, and have an awareness of danger zones and time periods when incidents are most likely to occur.

RISK MANAGEMENT

Our stringent processes and expectations around worker safety include:

  • Ongoing awareness and education

  • Creating a culture of safety

  • Engaging workers in actively participating in safety training, reporting and practice

We encourage onsite staff to interact with all members of staff, including supervisors, as a great working relationship can contribute to a safe work environment.

WORKER SAFETY

NX Blue implement all key risk assessments such as: hazard identification, controlling risks, and reviewing systems and procedures.

We maintain strict measures around risk priorities, such as falls from heights, electricity, mobile and fixed plant equipment, and falling objects. We also ensure employees complete a Take 5 Safety Checklist as a safety precaution before commencing work.

our environmental commitment

NX Blue is committed to reducing the harmful effects its operations may have on the local and global environment.

 

We are taking steps to minimise our environmental impact by:

  • Measuring our impact on the environment and setting targets for ongoing improvement

  • Complying with all relevant environmental legislation

  • Implementing a staff training program to raise awareness of environmental issues and enlist their support in improving our performance

  • Encouraging our suppliers to adopt similar principles and actions
